Requirements

• 1 year experience in receptionist work preferred.
• Knowledge of terminology of Radiology tests preferred.
• High School diploma or Equivalent required for new hires starting April 2014.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical duties for the Radiology Department such as answering telephones, greeting patients and preparing requisitions for outpatients.
• File patient reports and retrieve patient records for physicians or medical records.
• Demonstrate adequate knowledge of the usual terminology of tests ordered in Radiology.
• Exhibit good telephone etiquette and greet patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner.
• Maneuver through reception area and outside storage area.
• Provide clerical support by utilizing telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System) and run errands throughout the facility.
