Job Summary Responsible for ensuring Diagnostic Imaging department quality metrics and safety goals are achieved and maintained. Contributes to Quality and Safety goals and objectives for the department that align with the strategic direction of the organization by analyzing needs and developing recommendations. Communicates goals and objectives to unit managers and staff, and monitors progress during the year with demonstrable updated monthly metrics which are then reported to the appropriate areas and individuals. Member of multiple committees across the hospital related to quality and safety, representing Diagnostic Imaging.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Radiology, Business Management, Health Science, or related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years in Radiology with clinical experience
  • Current certification or registration in a Diagnostic Imaging Modality and Current State of Connecticut Radiologic Technologist Licensure
  • Experience with EPIC, PACS and digital technology
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and project management
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude.
  • Strong computer skills for use with email, Word and Excel.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of Radiological principal and practices. Sufficient to be able to perform a wide range of duties relative to the work assigned.
  • Ability to lead and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Experience working with healthcare associated accrediting bodies
