About The Position

The Radiology Quality Program Manager evaluates and tracks quality measures. They lead quality improvement initiatives and promote service excellence with the site's leadership team. This role involves coordinating with System Directors to ensure training, monitoring, and improvement activities meet regulatory and accreditation standards. The manager also safeguards patient privacy rights and fosters positive patient care outcomes. This is done by assessing, planning, implementing, and monitoring initiatives to enhance knowledge, skills, and attitudes among hospital professionals.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of imaging equipment, processes, and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of radiation testing, safety, and compliance.
  • Able to communicate appropriate radiation safety concerns to the facilities to facilitate improvements.
  • 5 Years of Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with Hospital Imaging Directors and Management.
  • Supervises and directs Quality Improvement initiatives and Service Excellence programs.
  • Provides functional quality governance through formulation, set-up and review of functional metrics, dashboards, strategies, and performance goals.
  • Provides Quality Risk Management strategy and oversight for radiology.
  • Oversees resolution and reporting of incidents reportable under the regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure proper audit measures to identify concerns, define the issue's scope, and initiate actions to resolve.
  • Reports performance to committees, councils, regulatory agencies, and other hospital approved organizations.
  • Ensures accreditation and licensing by relevant agencies for the Radiology system. Collaborates with radiology management to develop standardized policies, procedures, and performance standards to meet or exceed requirements.
  • Maintains database of accreditation compliance and proficiency performance for the BSWH (Baylor Scott & White Health) Imaging services.
  • Assists in developing and integrating new or revised policies and procedures. Assesses compliance with and effectiveness of policies and procedures after implementation.
  • Identifies areas for improvement and communicates recommendations to Senior Management. Ensures compliance with governmental regulations and accrediting standards.
  • Provides regulatory intelligence for BSWH Imaging services by gathering and sharing relevant national regulatory information with all key stakeholders.
  • Monitors operational targets for areas of responsibility. Implements corrective action plans for negative productivity and expense variances in department reports, monthly budgetary reports, and overall services.
  • Plays a crucial role in overseeing the planning and execution of a project. Their responsibilities include initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Provides support, identification, participation, and mentoring of strategic project teams. Focuses on quality governance and compliance. Drives radiology strategic and process improvement plans. Is accountable for Quality Reviews for Radiology. Reports to the BSWH Radiology Directors Council.
