About The Position

This position is responsible for administration of ionizing radiation to patients for diagnostic purposes, providing patient services, and performing radiographic procedures using radiographic modalities. Operators are limited by the exams they can perform on patients (Exams on small children and babies are not allowed until evaluation of abilities is done by a manager or QA Tech). An operator provides optimal patient care utilizing established and accepted techniques.

Requirements

• Valid MN Department of Health X-ray Operator certificate within one year of hire or transfer for Minnesota.
• Current Limited X-ray machine operator permit through the Wisconsin Society of Radiologic Technologists within one year of hire or transfer for Wisconsin.
• Current Limited X-ray Machine Operator licensure through the North Dakota Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDBMIRT).
• If not certified or have limited scope training upon hire, must enroll in the Radiologic Operator training through Essentia Health.
