About The Position

The Manager of Imaging Operations is responsible for overseeing the planning, design, coordination, and improvement of Imaging Services across multiple modalities including CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, MRI, and Diagnostic Services. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and the Joint Commission standards while promoting the organization's vision, mission, values, and goals. The manager is also tasked with developing policies and procedures, managing staff, and enhancing operational efficiencies within the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience in imaging operations management.
  • Certification in relevant imaging modalities (e.g., ARMRIT, ARRT certifications).
  • Basic business knowledge including annual planning, budget adherence, and compliance management.
  • General computer skills including Microsoft Office and electronic medical documentation.

  • CT or MRI certification.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, implement, and maintain work processes for imaging services delivery and quality.
  • Continuously revise processes for operational improvement and efficiencies.
  • Investigate, resolve, and document patient complaints.
  • Monitor and evaluate staffing patterns to ensure adequate coverage and prepare work schedules accordingly.
  • Interview, hire, counsel, and terminate personnel in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Complete performance evaluations and manage staff recognition.
  • Train new staff and ensure all registrations and certifications are current.
  • Conduct multidisciplinary staff meetings to ensure consistent communication of organizational goals.
  • Facilitate goal setting for staff and monitor achievements.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and provide feedback on equipment needs.
  • Act as a liaison to other departments and maintain cooperative relationships with physicians.
  • Ensure compliance with JCAHO, TDH standards, and other accrediting bodies.
  • Utilize AIDET to identify patient service requirements and ensure correct exams are performed.
  • Coordinate groups focusing on patient safety, customer service, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in shared governance and professional organizations.
