Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field
5+ years of Radiology/Imaging experience
3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of radiology operations, workflow, and patient care standards
Experience with regulatory compliance and accreditation (TJC, state, federal)

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree ( MHA, MBA, or related field )
Certifications such as ARRT, RDMS, or NMTCB
Experience in an academic medical center or large health system
Background working in Interventional Radiology (IR) or multi-modality leadership

Responsibilities

Provide strategic direction and operational leadership for assigned imaging modality(ies)
Develop and execute short- and long-term departmental goals aligned with organizational priorities
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Oversee daily operations across radiologic technologists, IR nurses, radiology nurses, and support staff
Optimize workflow, throughput, and patient experience
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and clinical protocols
Ensure effective staffing models and team structure
Maintain compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), FDA, IDPH, ARRT, RDMS, NMTCB , and other regulatory bodies
Lead accreditation readiness and audit processes
Drive quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics
Manage and monitor operating budgets, productivity, and cost efficiency
Identify opportunities for resource optimization and service line growth
Support financial planning and performance objectives
Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action when needed
Navigate and support union environments and collective bargaining agreements
