Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field
  • 5+ years of Radiology/Imaging experience
  • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of radiology operations, workflow, and patient care standards
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and accreditation (TJC, state, federal)

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree ( MHA, MBA, or related field )
  • Certifications such as ARRT, RDMS, or NMTCB
  • Experience in an academic medical center or large health system
  • Background working in Interventional Radiology (IR) or multi-modality leadership

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and operational leadership for assigned imaging modality(ies)
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term departmental goals aligned with organizational priorities
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee daily operations across radiologic technologists, IR nurses, radiology nurses, and support staff
  • Optimize workflow, throughput, and patient experience
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and clinical protocols
  • Ensure effective staffing models and team structure
  • Maintain compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), FDA, IDPH, ARRT, RDMS, NMTCB , and other regulatory bodies
  • Lead accreditation readiness and audit processes
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics
  • Manage and monitor operating budgets, productivity, and cost efficiency
  • Identify opportunities for resource optimization and service line growth
  • Support financial planning and performance objectives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action when needed
  • Navigate and support union environments and collective bargaining agreements
