About The Position

The Department of Radiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator, Academic rank at will be commensurate with experience. Applicants should have an M.D. degree or equivalent and have an Illinois Medical license prior to the appointment start date. Candidates for this position must hold board certification in Diagnostic Radiology from the American Board of Radiology (ABR) and Nuclear Medicine from the American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) or subspecialty certification of Nuclear Radiology from the ABR. Qualified candidates will have considerable expertise in all aspects of clinical Nuclear Medicine, including general nuclear medicine, therapy and hybrid molecular imaging (PET/CT, SPECT/CT and PET/MR). It is expected that the successful candidate will provide a collegial and collaborative environment that will promote programmatic growth, excellent patient care and interdisciplinary research. The department provides protected time to allow candidates to focus on areas of interest including grant writing, teaching/education and administration. The Division of Nuclear imaging provides clinical services to patients at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH) and its Northwestern Medicine affiliates. This position will be located at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. NMH is a state-of-the-art tertiary medical center in the North Michigan Avenue area of downtown Chicago, is the primary teaching hospital of the Feinberg School of Medicine and is the academic center of the Northwestern Medicine network of regional hospitals and outpatient centers.

Requirements

  • M.D. degree or equivalent.
  • Illinois Medical license prior to appointment start date.
  • Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology from the American Board of Radiology (ABR).
  • Board certification in Nuclear Medicine from the American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) or subspecialty certification of Nuclear Radiology from the ABR.
  • Considerable expertise in all aspects of clinical Nuclear Medicine.
