About The Position

Coordinates daily radiology department operations and workflow. Acts as a resource to staff. Accepts assigned duties such as developing work and on-call staffing schedules. Accepts ""in charge"" responsibilities as appropriate. Performs diagnostic radiology imaging including routine, mobile, OR, fluoroscopy and emergency procedures. Complies with State and Federal regulations for radiation usage and safety. Evaluates and determines diagnostic image quality of recorded images. Participates in performance improvement initiatives. Participates in staff/student orientation and training. Provides appropriate and safe patient care. Works positively with all customers to promote employer, patient, and physician satisfaction. May transport non-narcotic medications as directed. Required to participate in ""on call"" rotation as determined per specific department needs.

Requirements

  • Graduate of JRCERT Accredited or ARRT approved Radiography Program
  • 2 Years Diagnostic Radiology
  • Candidates, who are graduates of the ESC Radiography Program and have two years of clinical education at one of the LMHS sites, will receive one year of work credit as a radiologic technologist.
  • Radiologic Technology License
  • BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support)
