Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1–3 years of data entry experience required
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong typing and data entry proficiency
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, particularly in radiology
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and regulatory compliance
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced clinical environment

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Health Information Management, Medical Office Administration, or related field preferred
  • CMAA (Certified Medical Administrative Assistant) or RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) preferred
  • Prior experience in a healthcare or radiology setting strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with EHR, RIS, and PACS systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and maintain radiology orders, patient demographics, and imaging results within RIS/EHR systems
  • Verify data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with documentation standards
  • Maintain and update radiology records to ensure data integrity and accessibility
  • Collaborate with technologists, physicians, and administrative staff to support workflow efficiency
  • Review imaging documentation for discrepancies and resolve errors proactively
  • Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and organizational privacy policies
  • Assist with scheduling coordination, report tracking, and medical record retrieval
  • Support billing processes through accurate data entry and coding alignment
  • Generate reports and participate in routine data audits
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient and organizational information
