Requirements

Current Radiology students preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent communication skills; computer skills also required
Prior hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

Determine appropriateness of examinations and contact physicians to clarify or modify orders when necessary
Transfer patients on/off exam tables
Transport patients through the ER to the CT Scanner and/or radiology department
Answer telephones in a timely manner
Communicates with professionalism at all times
For outpatients, check prescriptions to ensure patient demographics are correct, physician signature present, and reason for exam listed
For inpatients, check requisitions for accuracy, including verify patient identification, physician's signature, and diagnosis.
Arrange transport
Assist in procedure rooms
Update technologists with appointment status (cancellations, changes, etc).
