About The Position

Under the direction of the Imaging Lead or Manager, the MRI Technical Aide will assist our MRI Technologists in taking medical histories, positioning patients for exams, coordinating patient flow with nursing units, transporting patients, and ensuring safety standards are met. Maintaining equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition is expected and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association required.
  • COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic to Intermediate Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Intermediate to High Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines.
  • Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
  • Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
  • Must have knowledge of PC and applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Diploma or certificate in Medical Assisting or Tech Aide preferred.
  • Two (2) years of prior experience in a medical environment preferred.
