Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, but on-the-job training will be provided.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care in the Radiology department.
• Support general, ultrasound, mammography, MRI, CT, Cath Lab, and Interventional Radiology technologists.
• Manage film filing and image management functions.
• Perform reception duties, including clerical tasks and filing reports into patient charts.
• Locate, retrieve, and deliver patient records as needed.
• Serve as an ambassador of goodwill in providing department services to all personnel.
• Ensure proper protection of patient's confidential information.
• Perform image management within the PACS system, including order entry and image reconciliation.
• Work with Health Information Management (HIM) for the release of imaging records following HIPAA regulations.
