About The Position
Under the supervision of a certified Radiologic Technologist, the Radiology Aide assists with a variety of clerical and patient care activities.
Requirements
- High School diploma / Equivalent Required
- BLS Required
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Radiology student preferred
- Ability to work independently, prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Responsibilities
- Assists certified Radiologic Technologist with receiving and transporting patients; answers questions about procedures.
- Cleans, sanitizes, and monitors equipment/facilities as needed.
- Prepares imaging room and supplies for examinations and assists the technologist with procedures as needed and appropriate.
- Performs clerical duties including data entry and documentation, and maintaining patient records.
- Complies with all established safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
- Participates in performance improvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
