Radiology Aide
About The Position
The Radiology Aide provides essential support to the Radiology Department, ensuring efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including: assisting Radiologists, Technologists and RN's with procedure preparation, maintaining clean and well-stocked work areas, managing telephone communications, assisting with patient positioning, transport and utilizing computer systems for patient information and order management. The Radiology Aide is a key member of the team, contributing to a safe and effective environment for patients and staff while adhering to all applicable policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED
- One year of related work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Basic Life Support - CPR
- Fire Safety within 90 Days
Responsibilities
- Prepares trays and all supplies for various procedures in accordance with established standards and procedures.
- Retrieves and hands supplies needed during procedures.
- Obtains needed supplies for procedures performed outside of the department; brings required equipment to patient areas.
- Performs routine patient care activities as directed in accordance with established procedures.
- Assists patients in getting ready for procedures
- Escorts patients to their bay; coordinates the preparation of pre-procedure paperwork
