About The Position

The Office of Workforce Development at Lasell University in Newton, Massachusetts seeks an initiative-taking, entrepreneurial, and collaborative individual to assume the responsibilities of a 12-month full-time position as Program Director of a new Associate Degree of Science Program in Radiologic Technology Program starting Fall 2025 appointment. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence and enthusiasm in program design and curriculum development, teaching and student advocacy, a commitment to productivity and professional development, and serve as an active member of the university community. The successful candidate will join our growing department of workforce development, established in 2023, and report to the Asst. Vice President of Workforce Development and Global Engagement.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ full-time experience in the professional discipline.
  • Two years' experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program
  • Holds current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration, or equivalent, in radiology.
  • Valid Massachusetts license in Radiologic Technology (Radiography)
  • Proficient in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration, and academic advising

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the design, development, and assessment of program curricula.
  • Manage and maintain external accreditation requirements and compliance.
  • Scheduling and staffing classes.
  • Hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating program adjunct faculty.
  • Management of the program operating budget in collaboration with AVP of Workforce Development.
  • Assisting with the coordination of clinical site placements and student performance assessment.
  • Developing community and partnership contacts and developing and managing an advisory board.
  • Teaching program courses as needed according to specified learning outcomes and accreditation standards.
  • Academic advising and career related counseling for students.
  • Monitoring student retention and identifying and assist at-risk students.
  • Actively engage in retention activities including documented communication with both students and administration regarding attendance and progress.
  • Maintaining competency and currency in related healthcare research, trends, issues, and practices, including effective teaching strategies and assessment methods.
  • Manage special projects assigned by supervisor (including, but not limited to, new student orientation programming, recruitment, and marketing efforts).
  • Ensure program faculty remain current in licensure, certification, and professional development.
