About The Position

PRN Radiologic Technologist Grundy County Memorial Hospital | As-Needed Grundy County Memorial Hospital is hiring a PRN Diagnostic Radiographer to support our high-performing imaging team. This as-needed role offers flexibility while continuing to deliver high-quality patient care. You’ll perform a variety of radiologic procedures for patients of all ages, using independent judgment and technical expertise to support accurate diagnosis. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of a JRCERT-accredited radiography program or an associate degree in Radiologic Technology
  • Current certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current Permit to Practice Radiologic Technology in the state of Iowa.
  • Prior radiologic and computed tomography (CT) experience required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic radiologic imaging by preparing equipment, positioning patients, and producing quality images per provider orders.
  • Ensures patient and team safety by following radiation safety standards, ALARA principles, and departmental protocols.
  • Accurately documents exams and maintains imaging systems, equipment, and work areas in safe, ready condition.
  • Assists and transports patients during procedures, providing safe, compassionate care.
  • Collaborates with providers and team members to support routine, urgent, and emergent patient needs.
  • Participates in rotating schedules, including call, weekends, and holidays, and supports quality assurance and ongoing competency.
