About The Position

Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine Associates is seeking a Full-Time Radiologic Technologist for our Greensboro office. Job Summary: The Radiologic Technologist will work under general supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and will perform radiographic/ fluoroscopic procedures. The technologist will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the application of ionizing radiation for the purpose of radiographic diagnosis. Essential Job Responsibilities: Prepare room, equipment and materials as needed for patients undergoing procedures: cleans and disinfects equipment Follows prescribed techniques in administering general and specific x-rays: adjusts equipment: determines proper exposure technique and desired exposure time: arranges immobilization and support devices to obtain position of patient (if necessary) adjusts lead shielding (if necessary): selects proper size cassettes (if necessary). Maintains stock supplies and assists administrators in determining quantities for purchase: performs general office duties. Maintains sterility of surgical environment. Assists with positioning of the patient as requested. Uses and maintains X-ray equipment according to safety guidelines. Monitors out-of-date supplies and rotate as required. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies: promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Adheres to confidentiality standards, especially in protecting a patient’s privacy by using and/or disclosing only the minimum amount of patient information necessary to perform job responsibilities. Requirements

  • Education: Associate’s degree in radiological technology from accredited radiology program.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration preferred.
  • Job Related Experience: Six months to 2 years of experience as a Radiologist Technologist, preferably in medical practice environment
  • Other Requirements: CPR certified.
  • A valid good standing NC license
  • Knowledge of: Medical terminology and organizational services.
