The Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for a multitude of Dx radiography imaging exams. Employee will be knowledgeable and dedicated to radiation safety. Employee will provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors and staff with an emphasis on quality service and excellent patient care. Employee must be self-motivated and demonstrate ability to work as a team.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum of Associates degree, Radiologic Sciences program
  • Experience: Preference of two years' experience, but new graduates welcomed.
  • Licensure/Registry: ARRT credentials for diagnostic imaging and NYS license.
  • Must be able to push, pull, bend, safely transfer patients and ambulate without assistance.

Nice To Haves

  • Problem solving ability and attention to detail is preferred
  • Good written and oral communication skills preferred.
  • Requires ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely and adjust to changes in work volumes.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of Imaging department procedures and protocols
  • Capable of setting acquisition factors for optimal image quality.
  • Capable of positioning patient for optimal images.
  • Capable of following Radiologist protocols for specific exams
  • Capable of evaluating images for quality.
  • Capable of accurately following physician's instructions.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of Imaging department policies.
  • Consistently follows patient identification policy.
  • Understands the correct exam needed and patient factors
  • Documents any changes/variation to protocol on requisition.
  • Follows all P+P regarding use of ISTAT (per sites worked)
