Radiologic Technologist Full-time, Rotating Shift
About The Position
Nestled on the Central California Coast, Adventist Health Sierra Vista has been providing care to our community since 1959. Our 162-bed acute care facility includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county designated trauma center. San Luis Obispo offers the excitement of a lively community while being a fifteen-minute drive from the serenity of Avila Beach, known for their natural hot springs, and Pismo Beach, known for their sand dunes and eucalyptus trees. Job Summary: Interim position for Registry and CRT eligible technologist post-graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program. Performs all aspects of a Radiologic Technologist but is limited to not making direct exposures on patients.
Requirements
- Recent graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program and ARRT eligible: Required
Nice To Haves
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
Responsibilities
- Explains procedures to patients and answers questions.
- Prepares equipment for use as needed. Prepares examination rooms for patient exams.
- Positions patients for imaging exams.
- Monitors patients and ensures safety during exams.
- Verifies exams on PACS.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
