Get to Know Your Team: Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute. Perform routine diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic procedures. Produce high-quality images with minimal repeats while ensuring radiation and physical safety protocols are followed. Calculate appropriate exposure factors and evaluate images for diagnostic quality. Explain procedures and monitor patients to ensure safety and comfort during exams. Demonstrate knowledge of contrast media injections and reactions. Oversee duties assigned to student radiographers Assist with telephone scheduling procedures and operate the PACS computer system.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology training program in a school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the AMA.
  • Registered or registry eligible with the ARRT
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
