About The Position

Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Location - Syracuse, NY Qualifications Associate’s degree (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license/registration Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations under the direction of radiologists Greet patients, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and understanding Properly position patients and select appropriate exposure factors to produce high-quality images Adhere strictly to radiation safety and protection standards to minimize patient exposure Operate imaging equipment efficiently and safely to obtain accurate diagnostic studies Identify and report equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor Process images and enter patient and exam information into the Radiology Information System (RIS) for documentation and billing Follow all departmental policies, procedures, and established imaging protocols Ensure proper use and care of imaging equipment Provide radiologic examinations in accordance with referring physician and radiologist requirements

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
  • Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license/registration
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance
