About The Position

The Radiology Technologist of Franciscan Health Ambulatory Services is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations of patients. This position conducts preliminary analysis on images, and collaborates with doctors and other Healthcare professionals to interpret images. In addition to imaging responsibilities, this position is responsible for other clinic functions that involve improving the health and wellness for the community through disease prevention and health promotion. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Radiology-Required
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association as designated by department-required within 90 days of hire
  • Radiography (ARRT-R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)-Required
  • Radiology Technologist License (RADTECH) - State Licensing Board-Required

Responsibilities

  • Assist with clinic operations and patient care functions, including patients to treatment room, vital signs, patient weight, wound photography, finger stick blood testing, dressing application, calf measurements.
  • Provide direct patient care including conducting assessments, assisting with procedures, rooming patients, defining plans of care, and providing appropriate related treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning.
  • Treat injuries using appropriate treatment modalities within the scope of athletic training certification and state practice act.
  • Complete and appropriately document Pulmonary Function Tests, DOT and non-DOT Drug Screens, blood/urine specimens, and labs on patients.
  • Greet and register patients for services in Electronic Medical Record, and collect all information required to validate identity and bill for services.
  • Assess and triage walk-in patients for signs of heart attack, stroke, active bleeding, etc.
