About The Position

To provide the highest level of service to Center for Orthopaedics' Imaging Center patients. Prepares and performs standard Radiologic examinations on patients while maintaining ALARA. Operates X-ray equipment and Bone Density Scanner (DEXA), process images, prepares patient rooms, maintains supplies and medications, and completes all documentation. Hours for this full time position are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm .

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• ARRT registered and LA state license required
• Previous radiology experience preferred but not required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor Degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform X-ray procedures as ordered by referring providers.
• Performs Bone Density Scans (DEXA) as ordered by referring providers.
• Ensure that the patient's and physician's needs are met.
• Ensure that all duties are performed in an efficient manner and in compliance with regulations.
• Completes all procedures in PACS and ensures that all images are of good quality.
• Assist MRI Technologist screen and assist patients as needed.
• Monitor equipment performance and notifies the supervisor of any repair assistance needed.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
