About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic X-ray testing according to established departmental procedures, ensuring the delivery of quality patient care. This position may also perform the role of Surgery Center Technician or provide assistance within the anesthesia function when patient diagnostic testing volume is low. The Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic testing as directed by the physician at a competent technical level not requiring constant supervision. This position operates diagnostic equipment, including peripheral equipment, in a safe and efficient manner to obtain optimal test results. The Technologist manages the patient during the diagnostic procedure to meet quality patient care standards. This position ensures supplies are maintained and reports problems with equipment to the appropriate staff member. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited radiological technologist school required.
  • Licensed by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP)
  • Registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R).
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers required
  • Candidates must possess ability to multitask, with attention to fine detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire
  • NJDEP State License expires every two years and must be renewed biannually to work
  • ARRT expires on incumbent's date of birth and must be renewed annually to work
