About The Position

Saint Joseph London is a 150-bed regional hospital, part of CommonSpirit Health, a non-profit Catholic health system with approximately 175,000 team members. As a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) at Saint Joseph London, you will play a crucial role in producing diagnostic images necessary for Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions. Your daily tasks will involve performing various imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs. You are expected to contribute positively to the patient experience through direct interaction and demonstrate a deep understanding of diagnostic imaging's importance, workflow, patient positioning, and the capture of precise results for timely and accurate diagnoses.

Requirements

  • Associates Of Science In Radiologic Technology or a related field, upon hire
  • Completion of an Accredited Program: The program must be accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)., upon hire
  • Medical Radiographer: KY, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry, upon hire or Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, upon hire or Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, upon hire or Registered Technologist Mammography, upon hire or Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, upon hire or Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, upon hire or Registered Technologist Quality Management, upon hire or Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy, upon hire or Registered Technologist Vascualr Inteventional Rad, upon hire or Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

Responsibilities

  • Produce diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.
  • Perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs.
  • Actively contribute to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
  • Perform procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist’s expectations and protocols.
  • Display knowledge and comply with the National Patient Safety goals.
  • Support and report any identified compliance matters.
  • Participate in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
  • Maintain professional development and education for technical competency.
