About The Position

Join the Department of Correctional Health Services as a Radiologic Technologist, serving the community by providing medically necessary, evidence-based integrated health care to patients within Maricopa County's correctional facilities. In this role, you will work in diagnostic radiology, operate special procedure equipment, create CDs of digital images, ensure the operational performance of digital x-ray equipment, and maintain the cleanliness of radiology equipment and the work area. Correctional Health Services is an industry-leading healthcare organization for the incarcerated population, offering 24/7 medical, dental, mental health, psychiatric care, and substance abuse treatment. Requirements

  • Two years of radiology experience
  • Completion of a Radiologic Technologist training program
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT)
  • A current license by the Arizona Medical Radiology Technology Board of Examiners as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
  • High School diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Administers general diagnostic radiographs
  • Determines the diagnostic quality of completed radiographs
  • Maintains appropriate documentation and records
  • Helps coordinate the completion of radiographs for specialty clinics
  • Communicates x-ray concerns to the provider or Nurse Manager
  • Restocks radiographic supplies and monitors monthly expenses
  • Coordinates equipment services and repairs
  • Assists with drafting and updating the Radiology Department Policies and Procedures
