Job Summary Responsible for providing an advanced clinical level of quality patient care while producing radiologic images used for patient diagnosis and treatment. The responsibilities also include completing x-rays effectively and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient care possible in order to provide the most remarkable patient experience. -Determines appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patients condition to obtain quality images for radiologists; this level may provide an advanced clinical level of patient care. -Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures which may include transporting, transferring, immobilizing, and position patients. -Explains procedures to patients taking into consideration physical and emotional needs. -Records digital images as directed for radiologist interpretation. -Maintains pertinent records. -Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards. -May provide assistance to Radiology Technologist Students and new staff in performing Radiologic exams, sterile technique, and proper stocking of supplies in radiographic rooms.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Diagnostic Imaging required
  • Registered Technologist [R.T.(ARRT)] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Radiology Technician experience with multiple patient populations 2-3 years required

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification]
