Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) of the human body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the Radiologist. Moves x-ray equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors. Explains procedure to patient to reduce anxiety and obtain patient cooperation. Monitors accessory equipment and assist the physician special radiographic procedures. Perform the described duties in the primary work area and demonstrate competency in orthopedic radiology, pediatric radiology, trauma radiology and diagnostic radiology. Must be willing to learn CT within 6 months of hire date. Candidate must be able to staff department independently.
