About The Position

AMI is hiring Upcoming X-ray School Graduates for Per Diem X-ray coverage in the Toms River offices. This is a great opportunity to kick-off your career with a growing outpatient Radiology practice! The Per Diem Radiologic Technologist is responsible for but not limited to: Performs radiographic examinations as directed, including general radiographic, Dexa scans, fluoroscopic and tomographic procedures, in accordance with departmental imaging protocols and ACR guidelines. Completes aseptic technique training and consistently maintains Infection control standards as assigned. Assists patients on and off table and uses appropriate lift-assist devices as warranted. Performs all other related duties as assigned to ensure that optimum radiologic care, efficient and orderly flow of patients and safe, expedient office operation occurs daily. Operates all departmental clerical equipment, including the computerized information system and copy machines, to ensure that office recordkeeping and documentation are accurate, timely, and easily accessible. Performs quality assurance, testing and documentation in accordance with NJ Department of Environment Protection and ACR standards. Provides informal supervision and instructional advice to non-technical personnel assigned to the work area. Removes soiled gowns and linens from patient areas according to the Office Administrator’s schedule and cleans them on-site following AMI policy, using AMI-provided cleaning products. Performs other duties as required and assigned. Coverage opportunities in the Toms River offices include Monday-Friday with potential shift times of 8am-4:30pm and 10am-6:30pm. Opportunities for additional shift coverage is available in other regional offices.

Requirements

Qualified candidates for this position are an upcoming graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology and registry-eligible for the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
Prior to start, candidates must possess valid and current NJ Rad Tech license and ARRT (R) registry.
An American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support certification (must include hands-on instruction) is required prior to the start of employment.
Candidates must have full knowledge of all aspects concerning radiation protection.
Candidates must be willing to commit to consistent training in x-ray and receptive to fluoroscopy training.
