About The Position
The Radiologic Technologist operates radiology equipment to produce radiographic images of the body for diagnostic routine purposes. Positions radiologic equipment and adjusts controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of the examination.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology (ARRT-R)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities
- Manage radiology workflow: Retrieve orders & enter data in EMR
- Ensure informed consent & patient understanding
- Prepare & assist patients: Escort, instruct, and position patients for imaging
- Explain procedures to reduce anxiety & ensure cooperation
- Perform imaging procedures: Position patients & adjust equipment for optimal images
- Operate radiologic equipment per protocols with limited supervision
- Obtain quality images using CR/DR techniques
- Provide patient care across settings: ER, fluoroscopy, surgery, PACU, endoscopy, outpatient & multiple facilities
- Ensure safety & compliance: Apply radiation protection (shielding, exposure control)
- Follow Universal Protocol & sterile procedures
- Maintain equipment: Perform preventive maintenance & troubleshoot issues
- Report malfunctions & manage inventory
- Uphold professional standards (e.g., ARRT, ASRT)
