About The Position

This part-time position involves operating portable radiology equipment to produce diagnostic quality images for Radiologist interpretation. The role requires driving a company vehicle equipped with radiology equipment to various locations, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, jails, and patients' homes, to perform x-ray exams as ordered by physicians. Additionally, the technologist may be required to perform EKGs and transmit them to a Cardiologist for interpretation. Daily responsibilities include obtaining and scanning required exam-related paperwork and billing documents, maintaining regular communication with dispatch and management, and interacting professionally with peers, supervisory staff, and clients. The technologist is also responsible for maintaining the vehicle and x-ray equipment, ensuring that all equipment is cared for in a professional manner, and may be assigned special projects or other duties by the Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements

  • Maintain ARRT Certification and required State licenses, health requirements, operational requirements.
  • Valid driver's license in the applicable state.
  • Maintain Driver's license in good standing at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Operating portable (DR) radiology equipment to produce diagnostic quality images for Radiologist interpretation.
  • Driving company vehicle with radiology equipment to various locations (nursing homes, assisted livings, jails, and/or patients' own homes) to perform various x-ray exams as ordered by the physician.
  • Performing EKGs (as needed) and transmitting them to a Cardiologist for interpretation.
  • Obtaining and scanning required exam related paperwork/billing documents on a daily basis per protocol.
  • Regularly communicating with dispatch and management.
  • Communicating efficiently and interacting professionally with peers, supervisory staff, and clients.
  • Maintaining vehicle and x-ray equipment.
  • Caring for equipment in a professional manner.
  • Performing special projects or other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
