The Radiologic Technologist is a licensed healthcare professional who performs diagnostic imaging examinations and administers radiation therapy treatments. Using their expertise in anatomy, patient positioning, examination techniques, equipment protocols, and radiation safety, they utilize technologies to capture images of internal organs, bones, and tissue that may be damaged or at risk of disease. The images that are captured are used by the care team (i.e. Physicians, Radiologists, and other staff members) to diagnose and treat various patient care needs.
