About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist (RT) / Limited Medical Radiology Technologist (LMRT) plays a crucial role in supporting urgent care clinical staff by performing various radiologic procedures and assisting in patient care. This position requires adherence to regulatory requirements while ensuring a respectful and caring environment for patients and their families. The RT/LMRT is responsible for operating x-ray equipment, preparing patients for examinations, and maintaining accurate medical records, all while collaborating with a cross-functional team to provide comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
  • ARRT registered and respective State license in Radiologic Technology or LMRT certification.
  • 1 to 3 years' experience in a medical office/clinic environment preferred.
  • Current certification required based on clinic specialty, including PALS, ACLS, BLS.

  • Experience in conflict resolution and providing emotional support to patients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiologic procedures and clinician orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and create a welcoming environment.
  • Independently problem-solve to obtain patient information when necessary.
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team, including performing clerical duties and cleaning exam rooms.
  • Translate provider's orders into appropriate x-ray procedures.
  • Prepare and position patients correctly for radiologic examinations.
  • Operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs for designated body parts using ALARA principles.
  • Utilize the radiology PACS system to enter data and technical factors.
  • Coordinate and participate in various patient care activities, including vital signs and blood draws.
  • Perform patient intake and enter data into EMR.
  • Prepare and set up medical supplies and instruments for procedures.
  • Conduct laboratory testing and drug screens as needed.
  • Assist patients with insurance forms and follow-up on prescriptions and referrals.
  • Comply with quality assurance, HIPAA, and safety guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and maintain CME requirements.
