About The Position

Ensures that the evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment and staff are administered in a fashion that is accurate, timely, responsive and reliable. Customers served include UHSH employees, Medical Staff, patients and regulatory agencies. Priority will be given to activities that directly affect customer service.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Science in Radiologic Technology.
• New York license as Radiologic Technologist or eligible.
• Obtain CPR Certification within first three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the ability to perform routine portable and fluoroscopic procedures, as well as operating room procedures, as requested by referring physicians.
• Provides all required documentation on requisition.
• Establishes effective communication with referring physicians, radiologists, ancillary departments and customers to ensure quality patient care is rendered.
• Ensures proper safety procedures are met and radiation safety practices are adhered to according to ALARA principles.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of UHS information service systems.
• Provides patient education and thorough documentation to provide the best quality of care for all patient needs.
