About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist position at Javon Bea Hospital involves performing diagnostic radiographic, portable, c-arm, and fluoroscopic procedures. The role requires reviewing patients' clinical history to ensure appropriate orders are placed and labs are within range, collaborating with radiologists as necessary. The technologist will provide patient education, select and operate imaging equipment, and position patients to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest while respecting their comfort and ability. This position is specifically for weekend shifts, requiring 12-hour shifts every Saturday and Sunday.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• One (1) to Three (3) years experience preferred
• Will consider new graduates
• ARRT Radiography registration required
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required if working in Illinois
• WI-DSPS radiographer license required if working in Wisconsin
• Approved CPR or BLS certification within 90 days

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic, portable, c-arm and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Reviews patients' clinical history ensuring that appropriate order placed and labs are within range as needed, reviewing with radiologist as necessary.
• Provides patient education.
• Selects and operates imaging equipment, image capture devices and accessories to successfully perform procedures.
• Positions patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort.
