About The Position

Qualified Candidates may be eligible for a sign on bonus up to $15,000 This position sets up all radiographic equipment prior to performing angiographic procedures, processes and performs quality control checks on cine radiographic images, assists in preparing patient for procedures and assists other members of the Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology staff and physicians as needed to ensure timely and efficient use of the cardiac Cath Lab/special procedures.

  • Some exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious material. Must follow MyMichigan Health bloodborne pathogen and TB testing as required.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, get along with others, work independently, regular and predictable attendance and ability to stay awake.
  • Overall dexterity is required including handling, reaching, grasping, fingering and feeling. May require repetition of these movements on a regular to frequent basis.
  • Physical Demand Level: Light. Must be able to occasionally (0-33% of the workday) lift or carry 11-20 lbs., frequently (34-66% of the workday) 10 lbs. and or Walk/Stand/Push/Pull of Arm/Leg controls.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in prepping patients, sterile tray set up, post-cath care and procedures, and room clean up.
  • Manipulates equipment and sets appropriate techniques on radiographic generators to achieve optimal image quality.
  • Operates a variety of electronic equipment including cardiac output computers, oxygen saturation equipment, hemodynamic equipment, pacemakers, etc., and performs oxygen saturation studies and cardiac output measurements.
