About The Position

The position involves performing and processing X-Rays using portable digital (DR) technology and submitting them to a Radiologist for interpretation. The role requires unloading portable X-Ray equipment and taking it into facilities to perform exams as ordered by physicians. The technologist must obtain clinically diagnostic and technically competent X-Ray images. Additionally, the position may involve performing EKGs and transmitting them to a Cardiologist for interpretation when required. Daily tasks include scanning exam-related paperwork and billing documents per protocol, maintaining regular communication with dispatch and management, and interacting professionally with peers, supervisory staff, and clients. The technologist is also responsible for maintaining the vehicle and X-Ray equipment, along with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Maintain required State licenses and/or ARRT Certification, health requirements, and operational requirements.
  • Valid driver's license in the applicable state and in good current standing at all times.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Connect and disconnect Holter Monitors (if required).
  • Care for equipment in a professional manner.
  • Notify supervisor immediately upon malfunction of any equipment.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with little to no direct supervision.

  • Perform EKGs (as needed) and transmit them to a Cardiologist for interpretation.
  • Scan exam related paperwork/billing documents on a daily basis per protocol.
  • Regularly communicate with dispatch and management.
  • Communicate efficiently and interact professionally with peers, supervisory staff, and clients.
  • Maintain vehicle and X-Ray equipment.
  • Perform special projects or other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
  • Train other technologists as required.
