The individual will be responsible for understanding and executing radiology requisitions and views, memorizing the specific views required by each physician for exams, and assisting patients in achieving the necessary positions for radiographs, which may involve lifting patients occasionally. The technician will also be responsible for taking X-rays while adhering to established procedures for patient care and safety, stocking necessary supplies, utilizing various radiation protection and shielding materials, and providing direct training and supervision to student technologists. Additionally, ensuring that equipment is functioning properly and reporting any malfunctions to a supervisor in a timely manner is essential.
