About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist PRN position at Texas Health Arlington involves working in a fast-paced, team-based environment within a full-service radiology department. The department handles an average of 300 patients per day and includes various imaging services such as CT, Diagnostic Radiology, Interventional Radiology, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology upon hire required.
  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • 1 year radiologic technologist experience preferred.
  • CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist required upon hire.
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification required within 6 months.
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.

Responsibilities

  • Explains procedures to patient or guardian/family member prior to exam.
  • Positions patient to correct anatomical area of interest.
  • Uses multidisciplinary, team-oriented actions in patient care.
  • Assesses and recognizes the patient's emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions.
  • Adjusts technical factors for imaging procedures.
  • Operates, cares for, and maintains imaging equipment.
  • Maintains and enhances technical skills and technology advancement.
  • Performs any assignment deemed necessary by supervisor.
