About The Position

Prepares patients for procedures, assumes responsibility for patient needs during procedures. Performs procedures with accuracy and thoroughness in a timely manner, adhering to the protocols outlined in the department's procedure manual upon the order of a licensed independent practitioner for diagnostic interpretation by a radiologist.

Requirements

• Certificate Venipuncture Required or within 6 months of assuming position
• ARRT CT Certification required, starting 7/31/2019, for anyone who transfers into CT Technologists role after 7/31/2019, before that individual is reclassified as Multi-Modality Technologist (including for pay rate purposes). Multi-Modality Tech classification and pay rate attaches only after ARRT CT certification exam is passed. Failure to pass within 14 months after transfer into CT Technologist role results in individual remaining a Radiologic Technologist.
• BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
• CRT Diagnostic - California Department of Public Health - Radiologic Health Branch
• CRT Fluoroscopy - California Department of Public Health - Radiologic Health Branch Must be Obtained within 6 months of hire
• Rad Techs - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Required
• CT Computed Tomography - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Required
