About The Position

The position involves providing individualized health care services to patients of diverse backgrounds and ages, ensuring effective communication and support throughout their visit. The role includes performing routine radiographic procedures, assessing patients, and acting as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students. The individual will work closely with team members to ensure patient needs are met and will document pertinent medical information accurately.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Radiologic Technology program from an AMA approved school.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Licensed by the Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Prior healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized health care services to assigned patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to ensure their needs are met.
  • Perform routine radiographic procedures according to safety protocols.
  • Document pertinent medical information in the company's data systems.
  • Act as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students.
  • Prepare patients for visits by completing necessary documentation and answering questions.
  • Prepare the room for the next appointment after a patient leaves.
  • Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy before visits.
  • Independently operate radiology equipment and complete imaging procedures.
  • Review patient images to ensure they meet diagnostic quality standards.
  • Complete quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist in departmental operations, including inventory and equipment maintenance.
  • Adapt communication and behavior to meet the needs of specific patient populations.
