As a Radiologic Technologist at McLeod Urgent Care Darlington, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. Your primary responsibility will be to operate radiologic equipment to produce radiographs of the body as directed by physicians, ensuring that all procedures adhere to established standards and protocols. You will be expected to maintain a professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers, in alignment with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. In addition to your primary duties, you will be responsible for adhering to the ALARA principle (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff. When there are no radiograph orders to perform, you will operate as a medical assistant, which includes tasks such as triaging patients, discharging patients, conducting lab work, performing tests, and assisting with various medical procedures. You may also be called upon to register patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the urgent care setting. This position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. Your role is vital in ensuring that patients receive timely and accurate diagnostic imaging services, contributing to their overall health and well-being.
