About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist III position at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL involves operating a variety of radiology equipment to produce radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes as directed by Radiologists, in accordance with established protocols. The role includes assisting physicians and other clinical staff with obtaining films, images, and other records using the Radiology PACS or hospital information systems. The technologist will explain procedures to patients, providing opportunities for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust, while ensuring customer service in all aspects of the job.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; a minimum of an Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.
• License: IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure.
• Certifications: Certificate of Completion or a letter from the Radiology Program Director from the Radiology School attended; Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross; must be a candidate for ARRT(R) certification.
• Experience: Knowledge of all current American College of Radiology (ACR)/JCAHO requirements; prior x-ray experience in a surgical environment preferred.
