Radiologic Technologist II
About The Position
We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist II , sometimes referred to as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging MRI Technologist, Computer Tomography Technologist (CT Tech), or X-Ray Technologist (X-Ray Tech). As the Radiology Technologist II you will specialize and be responsible for operating X-Ray machines, CT scanners and/or MRI equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patient’s internal organs and tissues. You will assist in diagnosing medical conditions and the treatment plan process, by producing high-quality images that help healthcare providers make informed decisions about our patient care. Requirements
- Licensure as required by State
- Effective July 1, 2017appropriate national certifications in two modalities required
- Current BCLS (AHA)
- Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations
- Proficient computer skills
Nice To Haves
- One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for their X-ray, CT or MRI scans by explaining the procedures, addressing any concerns or questions, and ensuring that patients are comfortable
- Operate MRI equipment, CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting scanner settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safety at all times
- Assist other radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced, you may also assist in administering contrast agents or perform certain procedures
- Adhere to strict safety protocols to protect both patients and you from potential hazards associated with MRI technology, such as strong magnetic fields
- Responsible for maintaining radiologic supplies, making sure the equipment is in good operating order, and following protocols regarding infection control and hygiene
