About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist I for a 12-week contract assignment in Morganville, NJ. The Radiology Tech will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures at a technical level without constant supervision while ensuring patient safety, high-quality imaging, and compliance with organizational standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Requirements

  • Active Radiologic Technologist certification and state licensure (as required).
  • ARRT certification preferred/required (based on facility standards).
  • Previous acute care or hospital radiology experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and imaging techniques.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations by accurately positioning patients, selecting appropriate technical factors, and operating imaging equipment.
  • Restrict radiation exposure through proper use of collimation and protective devices to minimize unnecessary radiation.
  • Perform portable X-ray exams in patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency departments.
  • Properly identify and label films/images with patient information and correct anatomical markers.
  • Process and develop exposed radiographic films using appropriate processing methods (if applicable).
  • Complete patient requisitions accurately, including required documentation and technical details.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the radiology suite.
  • Prepare radiopaque contrast media and assist physicians during contrast procedures as needed.
  • Perform administrative duties including scheduling appointments, patient instructions, record maintenance, and reception tasks.
  • Assist patients with mobility needs, including transferring, positioning, and ensuring comfort during procedures.
  • Meet physical requirements including standing for extended periods and lifting/pushing equipment as required.
  • Adapt care delivery to meet the cultural, developmental, and communication needs of diverse patient populations.
  • Adhere to all organizational competencies, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
