Department Overview The Radiology department provides a complete range of sedated and nonsedated diagnostic imaging procedures for major and minor pediatric surgery, disease, or injury. Twenty-four hour consultation services as well as education and outreach programs are available. Position Summary The Radiologic Technologist provides health care services using X-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques producing images for interpretation by and at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

Requirements

ARRT certification as a radiologic technologist.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques producing images for interpretation by and at the request of a licensed practitioner.
Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.
Provides appropriate care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
