About The Position
The position involves assisting physicians and other staff members with the care of patients in producing high-quality radiographs. The role requires a command of radiographic techniques and the ability to assist with PACS as needed. The individual will be responsible for understanding and carrying out radiology requisitions and views, memorizing the required views for each physician's exams, and assisting patients in getting into the necessary positions for radiographs, which may involve lifting patients. The technician will take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety, stock necessary supplies, and use various radiation protection and shielding materials. Additionally, the role includes providing direct training and supervision to student technologists and ensuring that equipment is in working order, reporting any malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
