Key Position Details: $7,500 STARTING BONUS FOR ELIGIBLE EXTERNAL TALENT This position will be part of the Diagnostic Imaging flex pool. In this role, your home base will be at Allina Health Orthopedics in Minneapolis, while providing coverage for imaging services, which includes additional sites. 0.8 FTE (64 hours per two-week pay period) 8- hour Day/Evening shifts Schedule: Monday - Friday. No weekends. Hours will vary between 7am and 7pm, depending on location. Mileage reimbursement Locations in addition to home site: Abbott Northwestern Westhealth - Plymouth Allina Health Orthopedics Brooklyn Park Allina Health St Paul (Ortho, Joint) Allina Health Eden Prairie (Primary/Ortho) Allina Health Orthopedics Edina Ortho Allina Health Orthopedics Coon Rapids Allina Health Orthopedics Woodbury Allina Health Orthopedics Fridley Allina Health Orthopedics Lakeville Specialty Additional Travel may be needed within 30 miles of home base Meet our Care Team Members: Allina Health Rad Tech Job Description: Performs technical and diagnostic imaging functions in an inpatient or outpatient setting directed by the radiologist. Provides timely and quality services to patients. Follows imaging department policies and protocols to maintain a safe, efficient, and economical environment. Interacts with patients to welcome, explain, and respond to questions and concerns during and following the procedure. Provides care and diagnostic services to patients across multiple sites.

Requirements

Vocational or Technical Training graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program
3+ years experience
Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required must be registered upon hire
Must meet one of the BLS requirements below: ◦ Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association ◦ Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross ◦ Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

Experience with two or more equipment manufacturers (Siemen’s, Philips, Fuji, Carestream)

Responsibilities

Completes procedures in compliance with physician orders and department guidelines
Identifies patient with two identifiers.
Documents accurately all needed aspects of the procedure.
Observes and communicates with patient, responding to needs.
Maintains safe patient environment in procedure area.
Performs procedures with high degree of accuracy
Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of all diagnostic equipment.
Maintains work knowledge and competence.
Gathers all relevant information to assist in interpretation of images.
Verifies all imaging has appropriately transferred to imaging storage and retrieval system.
Provides accurate clerical function
Uses Excellian (electronic medical record).
Understands the Enterprise Medical Imaging/Picture Archiving and Communication System.
Ensures all documentation is complete post procedure.
Other duties as assigned.
