About The Position

Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a Flex Radiologic Technologist to join us at our Fairview clinics in Woodbury, Eagan, Highland Park, Edina, Bloomington, Lakeville and other various sites! This is a .6 FTE (48 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work the following schedule (subject to change): Week 1 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 9:30AM - 8PM Week 2 Thursday and Friday from 9:30AM - 8PM Saturday and Sunday (on call, paid 7.5 hours each day) Weekend hours are either 9AM - 5PM or 9AM - 8PM The Flex Radiologic Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging in multiple ambulatory settings and locations. Responsible for providing quality age-appropriate patient care for patients according to established standards of practice and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The flex radiologic technologist supports all imaging procedures, surgical cases, fluoroscopy studies, portable x-ray, and general x-ray performed in the ambulatory care setting. Provides assist in the opening of the supplies/equipment for surgical and special procedure cases as well as responding to codes, trauma activations and other emergent needs for imaging in an ambulatory care environment. This position will consistently work in multiple locations, based on service coverage needs.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • ARRT Certification/Registration
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) before date of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 3 years experience as a technologist in a hospital setting
  • Advanced Imaging modality certification

  • Maintains patient care standards
  • Accurately performs diagnostic exams and procedures
  • Identifies relevant data from images accurately.
  • Communicates pertinent data clearly to appropriate health care professionals
  • Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
  • Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
  • Verify patient identification and documentation
  • Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of service
  • Completes quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.
  • Orients and mentors new employees and students
