About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations under the direction of licensed radiologists. This role requires technical proficiency, strong patient interaction skills, and strict adherence to radiation safety standards.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license/registration
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
• Ability to successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations as ordered by physicians
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
• Explain procedures clearly to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation
• Select appropriate exposure factors to produce high-quality images
• Practice radiation safety and protection standards to minimize patient exposure
• Operate imaging equipment efficiently and identify/report equipment malfunctions
• Process imaging studies and enter accurate documentation into the Radiology Information System (RIS) for billing and record-keeping
• Follow departmental policies, procedures, and imaging protocols
• Maintain proper use and care of radiologic equipment
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to meet diagnostic imaging needs
